Something to consider

You have practiced your art for years and you have matured into a gifted singer/musician. You've devoted your life to music only to get underbid by a group with a machine. How would you feel?

It's absolutely the worst thing that has ever happened to the entertainment industry. The club owner hires a group without a live band that can work for less. It’s a case of cheaper,NOT BETTER OR EQUAL

This is bad for the economy. How? Groups with a machine can put 4 to 6 musicians out of work at once... in ONE night! Consider how many places support this to save money.  With so many groups using pre recorded music/backing tracks instead of live bands, the musician has no way to support himself through his art.. With no way to make money, the musicians stop buying gear. This slows down business in the music stores which in turn slows down production for American businesses and manufacturers and so on. You wouldn't think something so simple could have such a major impact on the local and national economy, but it does!
Unfortunately, young musicians will be deprived of a future in the music business. Why dedicate your life to music and put your heart and soul into something that has no return?

This limits opportunities for young players looking to make the scene, and harms all of the available jobs in their local areas. Fewer and fewer people are dedicating themselves to becoming good musicians. It 's the performing arts!  People won't know what real entertainment is.

The next time you're thinking about going to see a group perform,go see group with a live band. You'll know that the group has invested time, hard work and money to be good at what they do. THESE are the people who deserve the jobs at the nightclubs and bars. Have these people dedicated a large part of their lives to perfect their art just to be undercut by a group with a  machine?
Live bands have been around since the beginning of time.

Live music is an important part of our heritage and is an important part of our way of life in America and abroad.
