Always exciting,UPTOWN EXPRESS is a self-contained show featuring 5 vocalists up front to provide the heavenly harmonies of the fabulous fifties and the best of Motown styled R&B that you danced to in the 60's.Combine this with a 5 piece band to add the dance rhythms that made the music of the era so memorable,and you won't be able to stay in your seat for long.
You won't find any karaoke backing tracks at an UPTOWN performance,just a stage filled with dynamic vocal and musical talent. Our members have performed,recorded,and shared the stage with many of the groups that you remember from that golden era.

Not only is UPTOWN EXPRESS Southwest Florida's premier DooWop group,but the oldest continuously performing "Oldies"act in the state.Established in 1985,they have performed at corporate parties,city,county,state, and school board functions,country clubs,yacht clubs,golf clubs,gated communities,car shows,and private affairs-thrilling audiences with every performance.

We have played annual car shows at this Mel's location for many years for the Florida Children's Hospital,but due to our schedule we will not be playing these great events any longer so that we can concentrate on the larger car shows.We will see all you hot rodders at the Tony Allen Rock 'Til You Drop shows!

We have been doing these fun-filled annual car shows for the Florida Children's Hospital at the Bonita Springs Mel's Diner  since 2001,but due to the possible closing of this Mel's Diner,we will no longer be scheduling any events at this location
